Hello, thank you for visiting my About page. My name is Maryna and I am a professional photographer specialising in creative wedding, portrait photography and commercial photography. I’ve been mastering the trade for about 10 years and running photo studio in St Austell, Cornwall, for last five years.
There are quite a few genres i am working in: child and family portraiture, maternity and newborns, weddings, commercial, event photography and boudoir. I enjoy every photographic job however preference goes to themed photo sessions.
My photographic style is very romantic with element of drama, probably because i absolutely love period dramas! Lots of costumes for my themes sessions are made by me, be it for fairy or Santa’s workshop theme or Victorian style photo sessions.
I love telling stories in my images: doing it through capturing emotions, passion, using creative lighting techniques to enhance it, make it more of a movie still then a image, or an image from a fairy tale book or a still from a movie.
Being a perfectionist by nature, i always aim for 100% quality with any of my work, and keep working on enhancing and mastering my photographic skills.
I am the Qualified member of the Guild of Photographers, the highly respected international organization within the industry. “Qualified” means my work has been evaluated by the panel of judges and approved to be of high standard and quality
In February 2017 I was awarded the Photographer of the year – 2016″ title in People category within the Guild of Photographers, following the numerous Gold and Silver awards in the Image of the Month competition through the year 2016. One of my images came up as a runner up for the “Image of the Year” award in “Classical Portraiture” Category in 2016.
In 2018 I retained the title “Photographer of the Year-2017” in People category, and my image became Image of the Year Winner in “Classical Portraiture”
I keep working on developing professionally and currently preparing the images panel for the Craftsman qualification within the Guild.
