it was one of the most dramatic photoshoots we’ve done in the last couple fo years. not only by subject but by weather.
The day happened to be the one of the big storm in Cornwall. Luckily Milarna and I left for location 2 hours early. What a good call! It was so windy and pouring and roads got flooded big time on the way to Newquay, and the other roads were closed – so after drastic looping around we finally made it to the Scarlett hotel only to find another enormous puddle on the way. After fighting with puddles and lack of parking – and hotel stuff who didn’t want to let my assistant Milarna in to the hotel on the grounds she is under 18, I finally met Naomi, the beautiful birthday girl.
Our burgundy dress work a treat for some fantasy shots on hotel premises. The clouds and off camera flash added more dramatic effects to the photos. Then we went inside for more calm and casual setting.
